We’re excited to announce a native desktop app, Mixmax “Live” for Mac and Windows. (Since Dropbox buried Mailbox, we figured you might want a replacement:)
Mixmax “Live” shows you a feed of every action someone takes on your communications, letting you follow up in real time, all in one place. It’s slim, unobtrusive, and is the perfect companion to Gmail, Inbox, and any of the other products you use for work.
With Mixmax “Live” you can now write message at the speed of light. For Mac users, we’ve introduced a global keyboard shortcut and menu bar icon that let you send messages from anywhere at any time, no matter which app you happen to be working in.
For example, if you’re putting together an estimate in a spreadsheet for client, there’s no need to switch to a separate email app. Click the Mixmax logo in the menu bar and a new compose window will appear instantly.
For Mac users there is a global keyboard shortcut to open a new compose window, even if you’re working in another app. By default, the shortcut is `cmd+shift+m` and you can change it as you please by clicking the shortcut text in the top right of any compose window. This brings up the shortcut editor as per pic below. To make sure you get this update, please quit the the native desktop app, restart it, and wait till the upgrade dialog appears.
Windows users, we love you and we’ll have a global keyboard shortcut ready for you shortly.
