Feature Spotlight: Social Media Link Previews | Mixmax

Mixmax is a communications platform that brings professional communication & email into the 21st century.

Sending someone a social media link in email never captures the content you’re trying to send. It requires people to click on the link and view another page in order to see what you’re sending. But in Mixmax, your recipients will be able to view the contents of your link directly in their email.

Link previews of social media enable you to create beautiful visual previews in place of a typical un-styled link.

Mixmax is integrated with several social media outlets such as Twitter, Pinterest, and Linkedin. By pasting a link to Twitter, Pinterest, or Linkedin in your email, an enhanced preview will appear in place of the link.

Recipients will see a the details of the tweet, pin, or Linkedin profile such as title, avatar, tweet text, pinned image, current job, and location.

If you’d like to remove the enhanced preview, just use your browser’s Undo command by hitting ctrl+z or cmd+z (on Mac), or by going to ‘Edit’ > ‘Undo’ in Chrome.

Note that link previews are only generated when links are entered on a new line, any links you enter in a paragraph won’t create previews.

When you send those previews to someone, they’ll be able to click on them like any other link and automatically be taken to that web page or image.
